Process service in Douglas County

Douglas County is inside our service area. A standard serve is $89 per party, with the first attempt within 3 business days and four attempts over ten days. Rush is $149, and same day is $219 when the order and documents reach us by 11:00 am.

ZIP codes that cross county lines

80016 and 80112 are in Arapahoe and Douglas. 80118 is in Douglas and El Paso, and El Paso is outside our service area, so we confirm the address before pricing a serve in the Larkspur area at the metro rate.

The order form asks you to confirm the county, and the county you confirm always takes priority over our lookup, so the proof names the correct county.

Gated communities and HOA entrances

Highlands Ranch, Castle Pines and Roxborough have many gates, guard houses and gate codes. A guard house does not end an attempt, but it can slow it down, and access is sometimes refused.

If you have a gate code, a call-box name, a unit number or a work address, please include it in the order instructions. If not, we will make attempts at different times of day and record what we are told at the gate.

Western and southern Douglas County

Sedalia, Deckers and the western parts of the county are a long drive on slower roads. They are in the county and are priced at the metro rate, and we will confirm the address before the first attempt so the trip is not wasted.

Legal questions

We are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice. Questions about which court to use, which deadline applies, or whether service was sufficient should go to an attorney or the court’s self-help staff. We serve papers and document each attempt.
